Für solche Entscheidungen werden in einer Phase, in der die bestehende Software bereits im Einsatz ist, alternative Softwareoptionen nicht nur hinsichtlich ihrer Vor- und Nachteile verglichen, sondern auch der Aufwand und das Risiko eines Wechsels berücksichtigt. Vor diesem Hintergrund wurde in der vorliegenden Untersuchung der Frage nachgegangen, welche Faktoren und Wirkungszusammenhänge die Weiternutzung in der Post-Adoptionsphase bestimmen. Anhand einer empirischen Untersuchung und der Anwendung des Verfahrens der Strukturgleichungsmodellierung wird gezeigt, dass insbesondere strukturelle Barrieren die Weiternutzung von Unternehmenssoftware determinieren.
